Chastity Belt is an all-girls four-piece indie band that released their new album "I Used to Spend So Much Time Alone" earlier this month. Today i'm reviewing it.

INFO: Chastity Belt is an indie band from Seattle. Since their beginnings in 2010 they've released 3 albums. First "No Regerts" (2013), then "Time To Go Home" (2015) and finally the album we're talking about today. The band takes inspiration from the punk subculture called the Riot Grrl. A movement dedicated to empowering free-thinking among women. You can find traces of this in their lyricism ut also in the members' way of dressing. You can also hear clear influences of Sonic Youth in their music that features floaty guitar effects and discordant melodies.
